MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Port of Mobile is the second fastest growing port in the U.S. over the last decade, according to new analysis published by Forbes this week. Ken Roberts, a trade policy and data analyst, reported that the Port of Mobile experienced 122% growth in both imports and exports. That was second only to “energy-exporting powerhouse” Port of Corpus Christi Texas, which saw 238% growth. Alabama Port Authority Director and CEO John Driscoll said the ranking shows Alabama’s port is on the move with more growth yet to come. “From Mobile to Huntsville, Alabama’s economy is booming, and the port is proud to be a key player in this growth,” Driscoll said in a statement.
