Marcin Cholewiński/PAPForbes magazine has named Polish professional tennis player Iga Swiatek as the highest-earing sportswoman of the year. Forbes said that on and off court, the world number one-ranked Swiatek had made a total of USD 23.9 million in 2023. In second place came Chinese skier Eileen Gu on USD 22.1 million with US tennis play Coco Gauff third on USD 21.7 million. Swiatek's earnings were made up of USD 9.9 million in tournament winnings and a further USD 14 million from off-court activities. Forbes wrote that the 22-year-old had spent 82 weeks at the top of the world ranking, the tenth best result in the history of the Women's Tennis Association, and that so far in her career she had earned USD 25 million on the court, putting her in 14th place on the all-time list.
