Forbes ranks Cincinnati, Columbus as top 5 US metros for young professionals. See who won

The Greater Cincinnati area ranked fifth on Forbes' most recent list of the 10 best places to live for young professionals in America. Cincinnati was one of six Midwest metro areas to make the top 10, with Des Moines, Iowa, taking home gold, and rival Ohio metropolis, Columbus, ranking fourth. To create the ranking, Forbes surveyed data across America's 100 most populated cities, and focused on 10 key metrics, broken up into four categories: employment and pay, housing affordability, lifestyle and cost of living. Despite Greater Cincinnati's higher cost of living relative to the rest of Ohio, the Queen City earned its top five spot because it hosts multiple career-building industries, a thriving arts and sports scene, and boasts an impressive ratio of eateries per capita, according to the Forbes report. – Never miss a moment, sign up for the Daily Briefing newsletter –
