The former Brazil international visited the club over the weekend and has spoken to U’s owner and chairman Robbie Cowling about a possible takeover. ‌Pato won 27 caps for Brazil and is best known in Europe for his six years with AC Milan, where he won Serie A in 2010/11. The Daily Gazette reports that Pato was present to watch Colchester beat Fleetwood Town 2-1 on Saturday as a guest of Cowling, who is looking to sell the club. ‌Colchester are eighth in League Two, three points outside the play-off places, after their win over Fleetwood on Saturday.
