Emily Gibson (nee Glen), 28, has just graduated with a PhD in Environmental Science at Lancaster University, after an impressive educational history. Now Dr Glen will be based at Penn State University in the USA where she will begin her work on the NASA project. Emily began her higher education at Dundee University where she gained a first class honours degree. She then moved to study her masters degree at Sheffield University before moving to Lancaster University to study her PhD in Environmental Science. Her family told the Times: "Her husband Ross Gibson, her parents Marc Glen and Wilma Hopkins and Emily's family and friends are beyond proud of her and looking forward to encouraging her to keep up her exceptional success in her future scientific career."
