Former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Mohammad Shahabuddin passed away on Saturday. He was being treated at the DDU hospital in New Delhi after testing positive for Covid-19. “Information has been received from DDU Hospital about death of Mohd Shahabuddin. He was suffering from Covid-19 and was admitted in DDU Hospital on April 20,” Goel said on Saturday. Data provided by the Tihar Jail authorities till April 23 revealed that the prison has 227 active cases among jail inmates and 60 among jail staff, including a jail superintendent and two prison doctors.
