Foundation holds programme for unemployed persons — Nigeria — The Guardian Nigeria Newspaper – Nigeria and World News


According to Pastor (Mrs.) Margaret Oluwayemisi Durojaiye, whose MOD Foundation is the brain behind the initiative; “the workshop is geared towards training people in different vocational skills in Ejigbo/Idimu/Egbe and its environs, through skill acquisition, which will also help eradicate poverty by creating more job opportunities.”Tagged, Be Skillful, Creating jobs, Empowering Lives, Become a pride to the gospel, she said, “professional facilitators will be available to lead the workshop and certificate of participation awarded at the end of the training.”Pastor Durojaiye said, “our mission is to train at least 100 people in different vocations and skills, as well as raise great entrepreneurs to the glory of God.”She added, “startup fund would be available for best students at the programme, as they register to become members of Apostolic Pearl Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited.”Participants will be exposed to training in leadership, branding, customer service, entrepreneurial and trading skills. Also, vocations, such as gele-tying, makeup, soap, insecticides and ink making, beads &wireworks, dry cleaning and laundry services, event decoration and others. The one-week programme begins on Monday, January 15 and ends Saturday, January 20, 2018. The venue is the multipurpose hall of World New Revival Ministries International on Pipeline Road, Pipeline Busstop, by Ejigbo Police Station, Ejigbo, Lagos. Time is 10am – 4pm, daily.
