The Global Peace Foundation is meeting locals from different areas within Nyanza region engaging them in a healing process after the hotly contested elections. Executive Director Daniel Juma who spoke in Kisumu said it's important for people to forgive and let go of politically inflicted anger. "We saw Kisumu remain peaceful and relatively calm despite the travel advisories that were issued against visiting Kisumu over anticipated post election chaos," he said. It involves sensitisation forums that promote post-election healing and reconciliation among the communities in the Nyanza Region. He lauded Kisumu residents for heeding the NCIC’s clarion call on ‘Election Bila Noma’ to foster peace during the electioneering period.
