Oyitch ceased teaching at the school around January 28, 2021, along with three other teachers who have also received indefinite bans from the profession. The panel's decision to ban Oyitch from the profession was published in the hearing outcome on Wednesday, April 1. It stated: "This means that Mr Matthew Oyitch is prohibited from teaching indefinitely and cannot teach in any school, sixth form college, relevant youth accommodation or children’s home in England."
