SIBU: A man in Bintulu died from injuries inflicted by a cock during an illegal cockfighting activity on Sunday (Aug 29). Supt Zulkipli said the victim entered the ring with his cockerel to spur a fight against another cockerel. "However, after throwing his cockerel into the ring, it suddenly attacked him, causing injuries to his thigh. "The victim died at the hospital from excessive loss of blood," he said. Supt Zulkipli also said police had arrested six people, aged between 31 and 53, for participating in the illegal activity.
