The Fox News congressional correspondent will anchor a new 90-second news brief that will air on 18 TV stations that are owned and operated by parent Fox Corp., and be made available to affiliates of the Fox broadcast network. Popular on VarietyFox News provides other types of programming to Fox stations, including the first run of “Fox News Sunday,” the newsmaker interview program that is anchored by Shannon Bream. Bream and Bill Hemmer have on occasion provided breaking-news coverage or coverage of important national events like the annual State of the Union speech for Fox stations as well. The new “cut in” shows Fox News working to give a new generation of reporters, anchors and correspondents added exposure. Melugin joined Fox News in May 2021 as a correspondent based on the west coast.
