Ian Chatten, 86, was driving a Nissan Almera along the A12 at Saxmundham on December 4 when it was involved in a collision with a red Mazda. Ian Chatten died after a crash on the A12 last month. The driver, who was in the vehicle alone, has since been identified as Mr Chatten. He also loved music.”According to his family, Mr Chatten was raised in Friston and briefly worked at Leiston Works before starting a bricklaying apprenticeship. During the 1960s, Mr Chatten played rhythm guitar with a local band called The Wild Oats – and rekindled his love for the instrument in the 1990s.
