France’s development agency, AFD, and Niger have inked a financing agreement for two projects worth 22 million euros in the African country. The first project focusing on household food security, will benefit from a 10 million euros subsidy to support the most vulnerable households by improving their food security. The second project, dubbed South-West Prevention, is allotted a subsidy of 12 million euros. Niger’s Finance Minister Ahmat Jidoud and France’s ambassador to the country Sylvain Itté signed the agreement. The European country is a key partner for the west african country in terms of development aid and security cooperation.
