According to court sources, the former Awami League lawmaker from Tangail 3 constituency was produced before a court in Tangail, around 10:45am, on Thursday. Later in the morning, the state presented two of its witnesses—Faruk Hossain Manik and Barek—for their testimony to the court regarding the case. Tangail Additional District and Sessions Judge Court 1 Judge Maksuda Khanam presided over the proceedings and scheduled February 28, 2019 for a further deposition and cross-examination. Till now, 13 witnesses have given their depositions to the court regarding this case.
