French President Emmanuel Macron will undertake a three-day visit to India next week to attend the AI Impact Summit and hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to boost ties in key sectors such as trade and defence. Mr. Macron will begin his visit in Mumbai on February 17 where he and Mr. Modi will inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation. The ‘Horizon road map’ was unveiled following wide-ranging talks between Mr. Modi and Mr. Macron in Paris in July 2023. The MEA said Mr. Modi and Mr. Macron would discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
