Pol Maj Gen Songprote Sirisukkha, commander of Immigration Division 3, said the Frenchman was arrested in Pattaya on Monday. He is accused specifically of drug smuggling and involvement in criminal syndicates. Under French law, the offences carry a prison term of up to 10 years.
