Then authorities announced that petrol and octane would only be sold to customers possessing valid fuel cards. Authorities believe that the system will not only streamline fuel distribution but also reduce public inconvenience and curb illegal stockpiling. Officials expect the initiative to bring greater discipline and transparency to fuel sales in the district.
