Legislature about money approved by former environment minister Gilles Arsenault to a non-profit in his district of Evangeline-Miscouche. Liberal MLA Robert Henderson questioned the governing Progressive Conservatives about the group, which is headed by Arsenault’s former campaign manager, Elise Milligan. Darlene Compton, the current environment minister, confirmed that thousands of dollars were paid to Comité Diversité et Equité in January 2025. Henderson said the fact that Arsenault approved a funding request from his former campaign manager is "a red flag." Compton did acknowledge that if a funding application came from her campaign manager "it would be unusual."
