Furberg will join office from November 1, 2016, said a press release issued by the Grameenphone on Wednesday. Rajeev has been the CEO of Grameenphone since November 2014. According to the press release, Furberg will also serve as the member of Telenor Group’s Executive Management Team. Prior to his current role, Furberg had served Telenor Myanmar as the CEO for three years. Besides, the Grameenphone Board of Directors is trying to initiate a process to identify a permanent solution to the CEO position.
