Mauricio Pochettino said in his first press conference since becoming head coach of Paris Saint-Germain that “any big player in the world is welcome” to join Neymar and Kylian Mbappé at the French club. Last season’s Champions League runners-up have been linked with several established players, including Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, whose contracts expire at the end of this season, and Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli, key members of Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side whose game time has been limited this season. Although Pochettino would not be drawn on specific players, he said he was in constant contact with Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director. “A club like PSG works with a lot of possibilities,” he said. “I’m sure Leonardo will take the best decisions for PSG.”
