It’s not leaving Oshawa. I know I’d feel a lot safer if autonomous vehicles were made at a proven, quality GM plant like Oshawa, not at its cheapest. The company says it is shutting down its Oshawa plant to focus on electric and autonomous vehicles. The workers in Oshawa, members of Unifor Local 222, did not become one of the best at GM by accident. While Doug Ford may have folded like a house of cards, other political leaders have not shied away from the fight to save the Oshawa plant.
