Jatiya Party Secretary General Moshiur Rahman Ranga was also present at the briefing. HM Ershad was rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) after his health condition deteriorated on Sunday. Earlier, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque visited Ershad at the CMH and said the former president was on life support, contradicting GM Quader’s claims of Ershad being only on oxygen support. Several senior political leaders, including Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Awami League Advisory Council Member Tofail Ahmed, JaPa Senior Joint Secretary General MP Liaqat Hossain Khoka, and JaPa Presidium Member MP Shamim Hyder Patwari, visited the former president at the hospital.
