Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that except 34 goods all items will be taxed at 18% or below. Jaitley made the announcement after the 31st GST Council meeting. Union Finance Minister said that the GST revenue target for current fiscal is very steep. Regarding GST in real estate sector, Union Finance Minister said, "The Law Fitment Committee will take a view on GST on real estate in the next meeting. Ahead of the meeting, Haryana Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu had said attempts to integrate tax rates has been the goal of the GST Council.
