Several concerned employees of Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL) have called on the management to provide a cordial working environment to ensure smooth operations at the concession. The employees and contractors under the umbrella ‘Concerned Employees for the Protection of GVL Local Staff,’ also want their colleagues to make the best use of the company’s manual while on the job, to avoid any confrontation. The team warned fellow employees and members of the public to respect the rules and regulations that govern the company’s operations. According to Jackson, the GVL has provided job opportunities for Liberians; therefore protecting the company’s image must be the concern of the entire employee population. The concerned employees believe that when the company’s rules are respected and employees act accordingly, there will be a smooth working relationship between the two sides.
