He affirmed that modalities were being put in place for NYS personnel to replace police officers manning critical infrastructure. NYS officers will man the premises at a fee, which will be paid directly to the government," he noted. "That money will be invested in training more National Youth Service personnel who will also serve the nations," Gachagua explained. Gachagua urged Kenyan employers to select NYS personnel who are multi-skilled in various capacities. He also assured the country that the Kenya Kwanza government would soon expand course lists for the National Youth Service to include modern courses.
