In his new role, Rea, who first joined the firm in 2015, will be responsible for overseeing its UK-based retail, specialty and underwriting operations. As part of this, the firm’s chief executive of specialty Jonathan Turner will report to Rea and become part of his UK leadership team. Meanwhile, Gallagher Re’s UK top boss Ian Kerton will report to Rea in respect of the UK regulated business. ExperienceRea joined Gallagher as chief operating officer of its international division before becoming chief executive of its UK and Ireland retail arm in 2016.
