A Galway based asylum-seeker, who is currently awaiting deportation, says he will be killed if he is forced to return to his native Zimbabwe. Over the past three years, Mr Ndlovu and Mr Ngwenya have become well known in the city, both through their artistic work and involvement in a number of voluntary organisations. Mr Ngwenya founded the Melting Pot Luck Society, a college group which allows asylum-seekers to cook and share food with local people in Galway. If I go back home that will be the end of me, I will be killed,” Mr Ngwenya told The Irish Times. “This is for Theo and Mduduzi, who are facing deportation orders, but also for everyone who is facing deportation orders in Ireland at the moment.
