The police denied the claim that the woman and her family approached them before moving the court. Nearly two weeks after a case of gangrape of a 22-year-old tribal woman in a moving car was registered in Fatehpur district, police claimed that the allegations appeared to be concocted as they could not be established. Four men were booked in the case that was lodged on June 22 on the direction of a local court. The police said they recorded her statement besides getting her medical examination done.
