HOUSTON—George Floyd was laid to rest near his mother in Houston on Tuesday, two weeks after video of his killing sparked a nationwide movement demanding racial justice and police reform. Pastors, family members, civil rights leaders and politicians urged mourners gathered in the Fountain of Praise church here and around the U.S. to make the end of his life the beginning of broad change.
