When joining Wrexham on a three-year deal last July, George Thomason would not have been expecting to play as a wing-back. The 25-year-old had been used almost exclusively as a central midfielder during his five years with Bolton Wanderers in League One. But the Blackpool academy product has taken to life wide on the left for Wrexham as easily as he adjusted to playing in the Championship for the first time. "I came to the club as a midfielder in the summer but I feel I'm someone who is a lover of football, that's why I take on so much information and want to be adaptable," Thomason told BBC Sport Wales. "I think it's really important to be adaptable in the modern game because if you can cover multiple roles you give yourself the best chance of playing."
