Georgetown survived a second-half surge from Howard on Thursday night for an 81-67 win, remaining unbeaten against the weakest schedule in the nation. It was the Hoyas’ second consecutive win in a three-game stretch of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponents, with North Carolina A&T on deck Saturday at Capital One Arena. When Govan, Derrickson and Johnson were clicking on court and Johnson was getting the ball early on, Georgetown looked impressive. The Hoyas opened an 11-point lead in less than six minutes thanks in part to a quick start from Johnson. Even with its primary ballhandler facing pressure, Howard ended up shooting 46.6 percent from the field.
