The violent incident unfolded around 9:11pm on Thursday night at a McDonald's off the highway in Jefferson, approximately 55 miles northeast of Atlanta. According to the Jefferson Police Department, Devonte Watts, 26, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, pulled up to the drive-thru to place an order. Authorities say that an argument unfolded between Watts and the employee taking his order. When Watts proceeded to pull up to the pick-up window to get his food, he allegedly spat on the employee at the window. Later on Wednesday night, a shooting took place outside of a McDonald's in North Philadelphia, which left one man injured.
