Consumer prices rose 6.2% on the month in July from 6.4% in June, measured by national standards, according to preliminary data from the country's statistics office published Friday. Energy prices rose at a faster rate, due in part to a base effect caused by measures to address soaring prices in July last year, the agency said. Food inflation eased but remained well above historical averages at 11%, the figures show.
