Niantic Labs, the maker of the once-viral Pokemon Go game, will launch a Harry Potter AR game in 2018. First reported by Tech Crunch, the developers of Niantic Labs along with Warner Bros. are working on a AR game titled as Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The rumours of Niantic working on a Pokemon Go-like Harry Potter game was rumoured last year also. Going by the blog post from Niantic Labs, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be inspired from the company's cult classic game Ingress. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will leverage the full stack of the Niantic Platform while also providing an opportunity to pioneer all new technology and gameplay mechanics.
