STAMFORD, CONN. — Saturday at the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament is a long day for everyone. The competitors drink multiple cups of coffee to make up for partying the night before and solve practice puzzles to wake up their brains. The really early birds (pun intended) are the attendees of the Women Constructors’ Breakfast. It took place at 8 a.m. this year, which made some of us re-evaluate our choices of the night before.
