Ghana, Liberia to share intelligence for sub-region security -

Ghana and Liberia have reached consensus to work closely together to combat terrorism and other security challenges with the sub-region. According to President John Dramani Mahama, the two countries will share intelligence, and collaborate with their respective security agencies to achieve this goal. Following the talks, Ghana has also decided to offer technical support to Liberia in the power sector. Diplomatic relations between the two countries date back to Ghana’s independence and more recently, Ghana and post-civil-war Liberia have been working towards more fruitful relations as Ghana played a key role in ending the conflict in Liberia. The two leaders, who also discussed issues on trade, security and sub-regional integration, used the meeting to advance bilateral relations between the two countries.
