The attack, which occurred in early March, affected Ghanaian troops serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Officials who visited the injured soldier, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, described his recovery as encouraging. “Great to learn that Lance Corporal Albert Abrefa Busia of Ghana, one of the peacekeepers serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon who was recently injured during a missile attack, is recovering,” the UN said in a statement. The UN shared a photo of the injured soldier with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, by his side.
