- Hackers have targeted major Ghanaian news websites- The affected websites are myjoyononline.com, adomonline.com, peacefmonline.com and ghanaweb.comAlleged Chinese hackers have hacked top Ghanaian websites following the intensity of the campaign to stop illegal mining by which many Asians are involved in, in Ghana. According to an investigative piece by Daily Graphic newspaper four major websites, Ghanaweb.com, Peacefmonline.com, Myjoyononline.com and Adomonline.com have come under attack in the last three weeks. Meanwhile, checks with the editors of the affected websites indicate that investigations were ongoing to ascertain the cause of the hacking. This is not the first time hackers have rampaged websites in Ghana.
