The assault is alleged to have taken place in the Bob Shankly stand, where away fans sit, during a match between Dundee and Rangers last Wednesday. The match was held at Dundee’s Dens Park and had been delayed for 45 minutes after the Rangers team bus was held up in traffic. It was then suspended for 18 minutes after away supporters let off flares which triggered the stadium’s fire alarms. ‘The club are fully supporting the police investigation and the club’s child welfare and protection officer is supporting the situation.
