KAWASAKI, Japan—A man wielding two kitchen knives charged into a group of elementary-school girls in a Tokyo suburb and stabbed multiple people, injuring more than a dozen, authorities said. Authorities in Kawasaki, the city next to Tokyo where the attack took place, said a total of 19 people, including the assailant, were hurt and three were in cardiopulmonary arrest. Public broadcaster NHK said two of those three were confirmed dead—the assailant and a girl.
