A sobbing girlfriend has told a court she heard screams for help before watching her 'possessive' lover stab their lodger to death for daring to talk to her. Carlos Rueda Velez, 20, allegedly left fellow Spaniard David Martinez, 26, to bleed to death in a shared flat in Leyton, east London, on 6 March. Mr Martinez initially laughed and dismissed the questioning but moments later his screams for help were heard from the kitchen, the court heard. Mr Brown earlier said: 'David Martinez was just 26 when he was killed. He suffered knife wounds to the head (thought to be slash wounds), knife wounds to each shoulder, knife wounds to each thigh, two stab wounds to his chest/abdomen, and even defence wounds to both his hands caused where he had sought to fend off the knife.
