The Glasgow Times awards, in association with Glasgow City Council, Wheatley Glasgow, Merck and Trades House of Glasgow, celebrate everything that is great about the city and its people. Once again, our readers will determine who triumphs in the North East, North West and South heats. Today we will reveal those fighting it out in the North West, plus the Citywide category of Sport. Senior Award – Glasgow Orchestral Society president Ann Gibson; veterans’ champion Terry McCourt; and Wilma, Betty, Susan, Maggie and Jean, the rapping grannies of Possilpark. The Cafe Culture team at Scotstoun Primary, which is in the running for the School Award in the North West.
