The SNP-run executive has hosted over a dozen events at Celtic Park, home of Scottish champions Celtic FC, in the past four years. Separate documents also reveal the national stadium at Hampden was used just four times in the same period. In an FoI response asking for a list of events funded or part-funded by Glasgow City Council at Celtic Park, Ibrox Stadium and Hampden Park for the financial years 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26, the council said there had been "no events held at Hampden Park or Ibrox". A spokeswoman for Glasgow City Council said: "External venues will only be booked if there are no suitable council buildings that that have the capacity and space that meet the requirements of the event or conference.
