Police have described the latest incident as a "targeted assault". A witness told the Glasgow Times he heard "loads of screaming" before seeing a man on the ground covered in blood. Inspector Gareth Griffiths said: "We were called around 12.10pm on Sunday, 28 June, to a report of an assault in Argyle Street, Glasgow. "This is not being treated as linked to the incident in West George Street, Glasgow, on Friday, 26 June, or any nearby hotels or accommodation." The latest incident happened in Argyle Street, which has been cordoned off.
