Badreddin Abadlla Adam was shot dead by police shortly after stabbing his victims in the Park Inn Hotel on West George Street on Friday afternoon. Friends and acquaintances of the 28-year-old asylum seeker from Sudan say they feared over his mental state in the hours before he launched his knife attack. A friend named only as Almadi told Sky News the knifeman's family are "shocked" at his actions and hope the injured victims will be back with their families soon. They have been described as three asylum seekers who were staying at the Park Inn Hotel at the time of the attack and two hotel staff.
