Darren McGarvey will travel across the UK and beyond to explore topics like the justice system, education and the health service. Darren McGarvey: The State We’re In will be a three-part series of insight, analysis – along with humour and humanity. He will also meet the devastated mother of Ava White who was stabbed to death in 2021 in Liverpool, aged 12. The 40-year-old will then meet an organisation tackling violent crime with boxing, speak to London barrister Joanna Hardy-Susskind and visit Barlinnie. He will also visit prisons in Norway, where criminals receive shorter sentences and the focus is on rehabilitation.
