Global Air passenger demand rises 5.7% in November 2025: IATA


The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has released its global passenger traffic results for November 2025, indicating continued momentum in air travel recovery and resilience across markets. Total demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs), rose 5.7 per cent compared to November 2024, while total capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), grew by 5.4 per cent year-on-year. The global load factor reached 83.7 per cent , a record high for the month.International passenger demand increased 7.7 per cent year-on-year, outpacing domestic growth at 2.7 per cent . International capacity rose 7.1 per cent , with the load factor hitting 84.0 per cent , also a record for November.Willie Walsh, Director General of IATA, said, “November 2025 saw continued strong demand for air travel with year-on-year growth of 5.7 per cent . Load factors reached a new record of 83.7 per cent for the month as airlines continued to satisfy growing passenger demand amid continuing capacity constraints stemming from challenges in the aerospace supply chain.
