Joseph Adnol recently said there was no need for cops to wear body cameras to prove that they are not engaging in questionable drug operations. “For me, there really is no need for a body cam, our camera as policemen is God, ‘yun ang pinaka-camera natin na tinitingnan tayo,” Adnol told reporters. Gatchalian said he staunchly supports President Rodrigo Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs, but is critical of the PNP’s “heavy-handed approach” in neutralizing drug personalities. Many senators urged the PNP to use body cameras to ensure that no extrajudicial killings would happen in drug operations.
