The Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) has denied any involvement in the attack and arson at the Jatiya Party’s central office in Dhaka’s Kakrail. Responding to the Jatiya Party’s allegations implicating the GOP in the attack, the party’s General Secretary Rashed Khan said they had “no connection” to Friday’s incident. We don’t know who later went to the Jatiya Party office,” he told reporters on Saturday after visiting the party chief at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
