Kate Brown’s statement following the state Supreme Court’s reinstatement of her emergency powers was curious. Included among the fallacies in her comments was a reminder to Oregonians that reopening the state too early risked returning the state to the early days of the crisis, when they braced themselves for hospitals to be overcrowded and ventilators in short supply.
